CE, which is abbreviated from French "Communate Europpene", is the meaning of the European community. The European Community later evolved into the European Union (EU).

"CE" is a mandatory certification directive in the European market and is regarded as a passport for the manufacturer to open and enter the European market. Whether products produced by enterprises within the EU or products produced by other countries, in order to circulate freely in the EU market, it is necessary to affix the "CE" sign to show that the products meet the basic requirements of the EU Directive on New Methods for Technical Coordination and Standardization. The significance of CE logo is that CE abbreviation is used to indicate that the product with CE logo meets the Essential Requirements stipulated in the relevant European Directive and to verify that the product has passed the corresponding conformity assessment procedure and/or the manufacturer's declaration of conformity and is truly allowed to enter the EC market. The CE logo indicates that products conform to European regulations or differences. It can be self declared by the manufacturer according to the European Union's laws and directives. Today, the CE logo is a mandatory sign of entry into the European Economic Area (including the European Union, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).

Instructions are statutory requirements for certain categories of products, including basic health and safety requirements. These instructions must be met before the CE logo is posted, but the manufacturer can choose the evaluation method. At present, the EU has promulgated more than 20 CE directives to paste CE labels on products and provide technical documentation of the products. Only in this way can it circulate in its market.
